Red, White and Blue Daisies

As we celebrate the 4th of July in the USA, I thought these red, white and blue daisies would be a fun idea to share with you!!! I used the new Medium Daisy Punch #149517, some beautiful Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Foil and some Real Red patterned paper.

If you participated in my Paper Share, you have a sample of this gorgeous Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Specialty Designer paper  #149493. I added a layer to my Thick Whisper White folded card base.

I decided to “bling up” my daisy cards with some Clear Faceted Gems #144142 and Noble Peacock Rhinestones #149494.

The sentiments are stamped on die cut Whisper White Stitched Nested Label dies with Real Red ink.  They are from the Daisy Lane bundle and the Beautiful Friendship set.

After I made these Red, White and Blue daisy cards, I decided to add some bright Granny Apple Green leaves. I love the pop of color!!!

Tips!

To create the Granny Apple Green leaves, I stamped the leaf image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink onto Granny Apple Green cardstock, then used the Leaf Punch to punch them out!

I used the Medium Daisy Punch –  part of a money-saving 10% off bundle with the Daisy Lane stamp set – stamped in Real Red ink onto the Real Red designer paper from the Brights 6×6 Designer Paper Stack, #149613.

When curling the petals with my Bone Folder on the red designer paper flowers, I accidentally ripped a couple petals (easily glued back on though), so my tip is that if you are stamping the daisy onto white cardstock, use the Thick Whisper White cardstock so that when you curl the petals, they don’t rip.  🙂

My final fun design tip for you is to try out the lovely scalloped edge die from the Magnolia Memory die set, find it on page 194, or #149578  in my online store!! So pretty!  OH and a BONUS.. the little white flower centers are from the Magnolia Memory die set, too!
