Make 72 cards with the Peaceful Poppies Suite

When I opened my new box of Stampin’ Up! 2020 supplies, I just had to use the Peaceful Poppies designer paper from the new Stampin’ UP! 2020 Jan-June Mini catalog first!!  I created 72 cards with the Peaceful Poppies suite of products by cutting each piece of designer paper into 6 cards fronts.

I chopped all of the designer paper into 4″ strips and then cut the strips into 5-1/4″ x 4″ pieces.  NOTE:  when you cut the design with the poppies on the tall stems (front/center in photo above) be sure to cut that extra 1-1/2″ strip out of the CENTER of the piece of dsp.

When you cut a whole pack of Peaceful Poppies designer paper you can make 72 cards super quickly!!  I was blessed to need lots of customer thank you cards for the specials from December, so I made LOTS!! 🙂

I looked at the colors in the Peaceful Poppies paper and decided to use Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry cardstock for my card bases.  At the end I decided to also cut up some Granny Apple Green cardstock for additional card bases (you can see those above).

I used the left over 1-1/2″ x 4″ designer paper strips flipped over to the back side as my accent pieces on my cards.

The greetings are all stamped and punched using the Layered with Kindness set #151655 and the Label Me Lovely #151296 and Label Me Fancy #151297 punches. Find them on page 41 in your 2020 catalog.  See more info below.

  6. I love this DSP too – both sides! I notice you didn’t make any cards with the other side. It is so hard to choose which side to use. Your work is beautiful. Thank you.

I like you just love this DSP as well as the complete kite
I also appreciated your postings with such a wide variate
    of ideas.
As we are in a stay at home mode, I am making cards for all my friends & family, so that they may pass them on to someone that is alone or is finding it hard being shut-in.
I don’t sign them so that they can if they wish to pass it on as well.
Thank you once again for your inspiration, keep them coming

  14. I have a demonstrator that I like so I am sorry that can’t subscribe. I think that you have solved my problems on how to have colorful cards ready for all occasions. I am 89 and this year has been rough for me both physically and emotionally. I have lost my three brothers and now my niece, also close friends, none to Covid, thank heaven. I have had one very serious illness and one or two that just tire me. So when I saw this post, I thought, I can make these cards using my new Pansy stamps and paper from Stampin up. I used most of my Poppy DSP but the Pansy and Daffodils are beautiful. Thank you for sharing with all of us who are addicted to card making.
