I made this cherry blossom card with the Power of Hope set and the Seasonal Layers dies because it reminded me so much of going to the Japanese gardens and the Cherry Blossom festival with my mom and dad every year when I was young.  My most vivid memories are the beautiful lanterns hanging from the trees, the Taiko drums and drummers and the delicious beef teriyaki skewers. 🙂

My mom and dad spent a few years living in Yokohama, Japan, before I was born, and we had several beautiful mementos from Japan in our home.  So this stamp set and card feel very special to me as I recall those childhood memories. I think my mom would have liked this card.

  1. Good morning Patty
Your card is soooo pretty. I’ve never been to Japan but I have friends who lived there for yrs.and they loved it there. It’s nice that you can bring back some childhood memories. Have a great day.

  2. What a beautiful card! I lived in several cities in Japan and loved my time there. I, too, love going to the Cherry Blossom festival here in Denver every June. Taiko drummers, dancing, and the food … I love reminiscing about my life in Japan. Thank you for bringing back more memories.
