This Detailed Hearts die shaker card is so much fun in person!! Don’t you just love to shake a shaker card!!?? The sponged ombre background of hearts is just amazing!! I created this at an all day stamping retreat last weekend, hosted by Kurstan and Melanie! It was an amazing day, and you will be seeing lots of fun projects over the coming weeks from that retreat!!
Step 1
We sponged Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red ink onto a whisper white cardstock panel. We used Stampin’ Sponges, but you could also use a sponge brayer.
Step 2
Let the sponged ink dry completely before die cutting with the Detailed Hearts Die #151440
Step 3
Isn’t this just gorgeous! This die cut perfectly for me and I love the ombre results!!
Step 4
Attach the die cut hearts to a piece of window sheet (acetate). We put Glue Dots behind each solid heart. Then add a die cut frame – we used the Stitched Rectangle die to create the frame with Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Use Tear & Tape around the perimeter of the frame to attach to the hearts on the acetate sheet.
Step 5
Assemble your shaker card with foam strips, filling with From my Heart faceted gems and the die cut heart pieces! The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock. You could make this a Valentine card, or, add any greeting. We used the Seriously the Best stamp set and “thanks” for this card.
