Are you an embossing folder fan? I am! What a great, inexpensive and quick way to add a fabulous background to your handmade card! Today we are taking a look at the brand new Ornate Floral Embossing Folder, a part of the Ornate Garden Suite released on Wednesday, April 1st.
Emboss and add ink!
ABOVE: I embossed the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder with Whisper White cardstock. The bottom example is just embossed. The one in the middle, above, was sponged with Rococo Rose ink and a Stampin’ Sponge. The top example was embossed on Flirty Flamingo cardstock, and I sponged color on 1/2 of it with Rococo Rose ink so you could see how amazing it looks when you add a little ink to the embossed cardstock!!
Top Fold Card:
For my card sample today, I folded a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of thick Whisper White Cardstock in half (a top fold card) and embossed just the front of the card with the Embossing Folder. Then I sponged the bottom 1/3 of the card with Crushed Curry ink and a Stampin’ Sponge. I added a small strip of Ornate Garden designer paper, some of the Ornate Garden Old Olive ribbon, and then a Calypso Coral die cut from the Ornate Border Dies.
The Thank You card is finished off with a sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set punched with the Label me Lovely punch. I also added some of the new Gilded Gems.
