If you have not tried Snowball cookies or Marylou’s Magic Cookie bars, you are in for a treat!  I wanted to share 2 of my favorite Christmas Cookie recipes with you!

Snowball Cookie recipe from Marylou Burns to Patty Bennett. Favorite Christmas Cookies!

Snowball Cookies were my absolute favorite Christmas cookies as a child.  I loved making them with my mom when I was young, and then making them on my own as an adult. I know there are many versions of this cookie using different nuts, but my mom always used walnuts.

  1. That’s funny, growing up, we made those same two cookies and I still make them today, also! As a matter of fact, that exact recipe was printed on the Eagle Brand Milk can label and was titled Magic Cookie Bars. I guess some things are really timeless! So wonderful that you have precious memories of baking with your mother. I have really been enjoying your Christmas card ideas. Thank you and Merry Christmas!! 🙂

  4. Oh, my goodness…both of these recipes sound good! Which do I make first. I used to make cookies as a child to give as gifts to family. See’s million dollar fudge and what is called ‘hay stacks’ were my favorite. Now I make Eggnog bread. Happy holidays to you and your family.
