Blending Brushes provide a beautiful, soft way to color images, if you use a light hand and light colored ink. You can also achieve a dark, bold look, using darker colors and more blending. For our Love You Always card today, I’ve combined the Specialty Foil, the Always dies, True love designer paper, blending brushes and a soft Blushing Bride palette.
If you have not used Blending Brushes yet, click HERE to see them online. I will be doing a LIVE video tomorrow, Feb. 5 at 11am PT showing lots of ways to use Blending Brushes! For this card though, it’s about as basic as you can get… just dab a little ink on the Blending Brush with the ink pad, and swirl onto the black and white True Love designer paper. That’s it.
Card Details:
- Blushing Bride Base Card: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ folded in 1/2
- Love You Always Specialty Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Stamp Love you on Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die cut with Memento Black ink
- Use Blending Brush to add Blushing Bride ink to True Love DSP flowers, fussy cut and add to card
- Finish card with Blushing Bride metallic ribbon – TIP: use a glue dot to hold ribbon in place and add Heart Charm, tie knot
- Add pink pearls from Pastel Pearl pack
- Tip: My preference is to use Foam Adhesive Sheets under rectangle die cut, you can also use Dimensionals
