A Very Tropical Delicate Petals Card Idea

This may be an unlikely pairing, but I decided to give it a try! I combined the Delicate Petals stamp set with the Wild Roses background stamp, in Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green!! It’s one of my favorite bright, tropical color combos!

The Wild Roses background stamp is available in Cling Mount #154363 (best used with Clear Block F or the Stamparatus), or, in Wood Mount #154417 in my online Stampin’ Up! store.

The Wild Roses background stamp is inked in Poppy Parade ink and stamped on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White cardstock panel. It’s layered onto a top fold Poppy Parade card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in 1/2).

The Delicate Petals flowers are also inked in Poppy Parade ink and stamped on Basic White Cardstock. The leaves are inked in Granny Apple Green ink. I used my Wink of Stella pen to lightly blend the ink on both the Delicate Petals flowers and leaves. The strip of Granny Apple Green was left over from another project and I thought it was a great bright accent on the card. Granny Apple Green ink and Granny Apple Green cardstock and the Wild Roses stamp! Wishing you a Lovely Birthday is stamped in black and the greeting is also found in the Delicate Petals set. The die cut is from the Ornate frames Dies set.

I colored 3 of the Opal Rounds with my Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.. it gave just a hint of color! I added 2 more (uncolored) to the flower centers.
