If you missed my LIVE Video yesterday, I’ve got the replay at the bottom of this post for you!! Watch as I demonstrate how to make these Friends are like Seashells cards featuring a vellum cardstock overlay that’s been embossed with the Seashells embossing folder!
As I mentioned in the video, I found 4 packs (make that 5!!) of the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More cards & Envelopes, and I decided to pair them with the Sand & Sea designer paper to create my next batch of customer Thank You cards!
Each card has a layer of Sand & Sea designer paper cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ adhered to the Memories & More folded card base, and then an embossed layer on top. I used the Seashells 3D embossing folder and Vellum cardstock!
Isn’t that vellum cardstock gorgeous when embossed with the Seashells embossing folder!!!??
Below: as an option to some of the designs, I added a die cut piece of Pearlescent paper from the Friends are like Seashells bundle, between the Sand & Sea paper and the vellum. It really makes the shell design stand out!

Above: one more design option I used was the torn “sand” paper (from the Sand & Sea Designer Paper Series Pack) and some of the Seaside Shells stickers to decorate my cards.
Below: I found that the Blue Gems also were a really nice touch on these cards… kind of a beach glass feel almost.
You may have noticed, one design feature on my Friends are like Seashells vellum cards is the addition of some Seaside Shells stickers. I really like the pearlized finish on them and the colors are perfect with my card set!
