Party Puffins Shaker Card for Kurstan

Happy Birthday Kurstan – hope your day was special!!  I could not resist making this card for her because she is the queen of shaker cards, and she is the one who got me over my (silly) fear of thinking they were too hard to make 🙂  Hope you like your Party Puffins Shaker Card!!

To make the Shaker Window:

I die cut a Scalloped Rectangle from the Stitched so Sweetly dies, and used my paper trimmer to cut out a rectangle opening.  My preference is to cut strips of the Foam Adhesive Sheets rather than use the Foam Adhesive Strips, but either one works.  Cut a piece of window sheet to cover your opening, and sandwich it in between the scalloped rectangle and the foam adhesive sheet pieces.

The Ice Cream Corner sprinkles added a fun dash of color for the shakey bits.  I used the Treasured Tags Pick a Punch to make the banner for the Happy Birthday greeting.

  1. Hi Patty!

Thank you so much for putting the measurements of the Z fold on your blog! Already the 5 note cards are on my desk, but my laptop is in the way. Ready for a “novel”? Keep on reading. If not, hey, I know this is a very busy period for most Demos. No harm done, I fully understand you not having the time for this lengthy comment LOL!
That new AC is só wonderful! Actually, I missed the Kits – until I took the time to read Sara’s letter (after going through that AC several times and placing pre orders. Multiple ones, yes. My hubby and mom must be my biggest fans and from time to time, my mom sponsors me. Especially when we get new catalogues and brochures, which she wants to see. She’d her 89th birthday last Dec 17th, bless her, and it took me some time to explain the rules of the SAB period. I love it that SU has 2 SAB periods this year, us Demos still get to order during 3 months LOL! What do you think, after so many years of just having the one period? I still have stacks of the In Bloom and Flower & Field DSPs and some of the free stamp sets – you must have the same. What do you do with all those excess products? On my team’s FB page, I asked if there were any team mates interested in my double, triple and what have you products , I wanted to share them with team mates at only postage fees. Our team is pretty large with about 80 members and I know that some struggle to meet the CSVs required to maintain their Bronze level. Well, our upline and several others were not amused. I was not supposed to do that. But I waited till after Feb 28th – I don’t know why that was wrong. Customers I did ask for a price and not all of us are well off. My budget alone keeps me meeting my Bronze Elite required amount of CSVs and I know that some team mates have quite low incomes, despite working hard, sometimes 2 jobs even. Hey, I was raised by Mennonite parents and was taught to share whatever we could. I can’t see what I did wrong. Doubtless, we’ll get some more team mates in the upcoming wonderful Join Offer and during the next SAB and I intend to share again.
I probably broke a rule; I already informed all my customers (I have 3, LOL) about the Join Offer come May. I probably should have waited, as most Demos don’t mention it yet – oops! Well, some have, which made me look it up. I told my customers last Friday (042321) so that they would have the time to think about it. All 3 have, at times, placed big enough orders to meet the required €129.= so I explained the awesome offer – who wouldn’t want 20% off during 5 months, which includes the entire new SAB period and part of the upcoming new Mini Catalogue? And of course the new AC! And that with no strings attached. The extra €30.= in free product isn’t that much, but enough for one of the new stamp sets + a nice ribbon and/or Dimensionals – good enough to make everybody stop and think, I’d say. After all, it does add up to €205.=!!! Two of my customers are teachers of English, so I pointed out (again) our great Global Community and the many, many streamed tutorials on social media. Hey, I might even reach Silver for a while. Was I very naughty? I shared your tutorial with them. Just to let them know about the many sneak peeks on YT and FB. So far, I don’t Blog and only have an active FB account and dormant Instagram account. I’m not even active on my SU website! It just takes too much time, which for me is prescious as time = energy and due to a form of rheumatism, I have little of the latter. I could of course watch less videos and leave shorter comments, but hey, I don’t need another career; I joined SU at 60.
    Okay, this is enough.
Lots of love and crafty hugs from the Netherlands,
    Ineke
