You decide, Stamping or Stampin’ Blends on Hand-Penned Petals

This was a very fun exercise to compare stamped images or Stampin’ Blends coloring with the new Hand-Penned suite!

I’ll let you decide, which do you like better?

ABOVE:  I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral images with Memento Black ink, then colored in the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends markers.

BELOW:  I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral images with Smoky Slate ink and used the stamp images in the set to fill in the colored flowers and leaves.

If you have followed me for any length of time, I’m sure you know that my preference is the cards colored with the Stampin’ Blends… it’s my style 🙂  But they are both beautiful!

    • I’m with you, Patty. I love the Stampin’ Blends the best. I especially love the way you can create shades of the colors.

  2. Beautiful cards! I like the Blends coloring better. I’m a bit OCD, so it bothers me to see white space where there should be color.

  3. I love the cards using Blends. Both ways are nice. As I tell my stamping friends, the recipient will only have the one card they receive and will feel it is beautiful. They won’t have one of each to compare them. Enjoy your day!

  4. I like the stampin blends better as so much brighter. So far I only have one color but want to order more.

  5. Both are lovely. I like them both. The blends are a drastically lovely difference. Just stamped is very pretty- subtle. Perfect when a “work of art “ isn’t needed.
Just stamped with a few tweaks with Blends might be good also.
