Altering Peaceful Place paper with Blending Brushes Video

I did an impromptu live video this week showcasing the Peaceful Place paper and how to alter it by coloring it with Blending Brushes!!  Everyone seemed to really enjoy the Peaceful Cabin cards I created on the fly during the video!  I hope you enjoy these tips and like the cards!!

I discovered that I enjoyed the Peaceful Place designer paper better when I colored it with Stampin’ UP! ink pads and Blending Brushes!!  For the card above/below, I added Pool Party and Mint Macaron ink to the sky and silver trees.  This was a beautiful background for the stamped and die cut cabin and trees!!  I hope you’ll have a few minutes to watch the video to see how I colored the cabin and trees with ink pads, markers, blender pens and Stampin’ Blends Markers!

The 2 cabin cards are 4×6 cards, using the Basic White Memories & More card bases to accommodate this larger size.

Isn’t it so soft and pretty to add that little touch of color to the silver and white designer paper!?

As Of 9-28-21: Depending on which day you are viewing this, the Peaceful Place paper might be on backorder now.  It was on low inventory when I posted the video and then went to “backorder” status.. but it’s still orderable… it will just come about a week or so later.

As I mentioned in the video (below), I love inking the trees with an ink pad in one shade of green, then adding a darker shade with a Stampin’ Write marker!  It gives them beautiful dimension!

Using a Blending Brush with ink on the Peaceful Place designer paper unleashes TONS of possibilities…. don’t you agree?

We also decided to add extra die cut trees to the 2 Peaceful Cabin cards.  I think it’s just perfect!

  1. Excellent coloring tips, Patty! I can’t do black & white or sepia cards because I must have color! I love the way you popped up the trees & cabin. Thanks for sharing!
