Penguin Cloche Dome Christmas Tree Ornament

I couldn’t resist sharing this adorable Christmas ornament (or you could make it a “to/from” package tag!). It does feature the cute little penguin paper from the Sale-a-Bration Penguin Playmates pack, but you could also use the Penguin Place bundle as well!! The adorable Cloche Shaker dome is new in the current Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog and makes a super fun ornament!

We built this shaker ornament by layering the snowy hill, cut out penguin, tree die cut and hand cut presents onto a piece of the Penguin Playmates paper. Add a scoop of the Subtle Shimmer Sequins, then peel the BACKING release paper from the Cloche dome and seal it up. Trim around the outside of the shaker dome as shown below. To finish it off, die cut the Cloche shape in the Fresh Freesia Shimmery vellum, peel the front release paper from the dome, and add the Shimmer Vellum to the front, Trim the edges.

Final step: Sandwich some ribbon between the back and a punched or die cut circle to use as an ornament hanger, or 2 loose ends to tie around a package.

TIP: whenever you make a handmade ornament, be sure to put the date on the back! It’s fun to look back over my 40 years of making ornaments and see the dates!
