Sweetest Cherries in a Basket!

Cheerful Basket bundle card featuring Sweetest Cherry punch bundle by Patty Bennett

Well isn’t this so sweet!? I’ve combined 2 new Stampin’ UP! bundles to create this happy card!!  The basket is from the Cheerful Basket bundle and the other stamps and images are found in the Sweetest Cherries punch bundle!

What I really loved about this card was the cute “napkin” that I created for the basket!!  I stamped the image (from Cheerful Basket) in Parakeet Party ink on White cardstock, then I die cut it with one of the Stitched Rectangle die.

After stamping and die cutting it, I scored it corner to corner (diagonal) and folded it in 1/2 over the edge of the basket.  Doesn’t that look too cute!?

Isn’t this cute? You can use the “napkin” triangle die from the Cheerful Basket bundle, or, stamp the cute cross-hatch pattern stamp from the Sweetest Cherries bundle and die cut or fussy cut to create a cute accent for the basket!

To give the basket dimension, after die cutting it with Crumb Cake cardstock, I added some ink with a sponge dauber and then die cut the solid layer with Early Espresso cardstock and layered the 2 pieces together.

Now to the Cherries & leaves… they are from the Sweetest Cherries bundle, stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party ink on White cardstock, then punched with the Cherry Builder punch.

The greeting is stamped with Orchid Oasis ink (“sweet” is fussy cut with Paper Snips), and all the pieces are layered onto a Scalloped Contour die and onto an Orchid Oasis card (Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes pack).

Oh, and those cute dots.. those are the Solid Faceted Gems (I colored the blue one with Parakeet Party Blends)… now… .WHY didn’t I use the In Color Dots?  Not sure, other than the Solid Faceted Gems were on my desk 🙂

  1. OKAY see this is not a set that caught my eye when going through the catalog but now that you have brought it to life I am rethinking! LOL I am very impressed with your fussy cutting of the sentiment (Sweet) I was looking for where that die cut was coming from!!

  2. I love the card! Have you tried making the basket with the 3 cross pieces that go on the front? It is adorable, and makes it look like a bushel basket from the farmer’s market! So cute!

  3. Patty,

I’m really enjoying Cheerful Basket (not a kitty person, but loving the set). Needless to say, I’m stymied by the stamped image with Parakeet Party on Basic White C/S on the basket that looks like a napkin. You mention you got the image from the Cheerful Basket set, which stamp image did you use?

    Thank you in Advance
