Snowman Slimline Card with Tree Lot Dies

I was presented with a challenge for a presentation today… my objective was to create a card featuring one of the $100 level Sale-a-Bration gifts from Stampin’ Up!  My selection was the Tree Lot Dies.  I am presenting this during a Facebook Live on the Demonstrator Planning Place today.  (A private FB group for demonstrators all over the world).

As I thought about this project, I was envisioning a slimline card with a wintry scene, full of trees, snow and these 2 cute snowmen from the Stampin’ UP! Snowman Magic Bundle.  I used Tree Lot dies to die cut the glimmery trees, the stamped trees and the cute little sign.

The Charming Landscapes embossing folder in the background creates adorable mountains and snowfall!

Have you noticed the 3 beautiful colors of glimmer specialty paper in the Holiday catalog!?  I combined the green and vanilla layered together to make such pretty sparkly trees!  Find it on page 31 or 83 or here online.  I used the free Sale-a-Bration gift called Tree Lot Dies to die cut the trees.  Please Note: Sale-a-Bration 2022 part 2, runs July and August this year or until supplies last.

Fabulous Supplies Featured on this project:

The background of my slimline card is embossed with the Charming Landscapes embossing folder.

Charming Landscapes embossing folder 159593 from Stampin Up

It was difficult to explain, but since this folder is only 3×6, and my slimline card was 2″ longer, I embossed the cardstock, then flipped the cardstock around and tucked the unembossed 2″ section into the folder and embossed that section. YES it makes it “debossed” but really, nobody will notice (unless they actually read this post).

Slimline Card Dimensions:

Here are the dimensions I used to accommodate the Stampin’ Up! Slimline envelope:

  • Base card: 7″ x 8-1/2″, scored in 1/2 at 3-1/2″
  • Soft Succulent Layer: 3-1/4″ x 8-1/4″
  • White Layer (embossed): 3″ x 8″
