Hey friends!! We are home from our Alaska Crafting Cruise and I wanted to share photos from our trip! I know not all of you are on Facebook and Instagram where I shared each day, so I will be blogging photos for a few days here! Today we’ll start off with our few days prior to the cruise in Seattle, Washington. Seattle is much like our San Francisco Bay area and feels a lot like home. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and some overcast on our Space Needle visit, but overall beautiful!
We flew Alaska Airlines to Seattle and I always love taking pictures of the Bay. Below is the San Francisco Giants ballpark and downtown San Francisco as we left the bay area.
And Mt. Rainier from the plane:
We stayed just 2 blocks from Pikes Market in downtown Seattle, and walked through the market and to the waterfront for dinner. Had a lovely dinner at Elliott’s Oyster House. I think this was the best salad I’ve ever had.. it was delish!
We have been on the Great Wheel before, but didn’t ride it this trip.
On Day 2, we were joined by Kurstan and her son, and Miranda for a trip to the Space Needle.
Feels like being on top of the world up there!! It’s only 605 feet tall, but feels like you can see forever!!
If you’ve been to the top of the Seattle Space Needle, you know the glass tilts out at an angle.. I’m leaning against the glass… it was a really eerie feeling!!
Downtown Seattle in the background behind us.
The revolving glass floor at 500 feet above ground:
Tomorrow we’ll take a look at the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas which was our home for the crafting cruise for the week.
Many of you commented and asked how to find out about our crafting cruises. I have been advertising them here on my blog and social media and customer newsletter for a couple years. We are already sold out for our 2023 crafting cruise, but you can join the waiting list here.

Thanks for sharing! It seems like a great trip!
Gr. At pictures! Reminds me of my two cruises to Alaska! It is so beautiful up there!😍
Looks like you enjoyed Seattle! A bit of trivia: My brother-in-law’s father installed the original Otis elevator in the Space Needle! Dear brother-in-law and his brother played at the top before the glass panels and benches were installed while Dad’s crew worked!! Mom ‘survived’ because Dad and the boys kept their secret well! LOL
Loved seeing your pictures of your trip..
