Cruise Gratuity Envelopes

Stampin UP! Mini Pocket envelope die great for cash tips, gift cards and gratuities. For our Alaska crafting cruise, by Patty Bennett

As you may have read or heard, we are on an Alaska Crafting cruise this week. We love to cruise, we have been cruising since 2001.  One thing we love to do is show our appreciation to our cabin steward, our waiters, the Suite Lounge concierge, and anyone else to might go out of their way to make our week amazing.  In the past, I always made handstamped cards, put cash inside, and handed those out, but this year I used the Stampin’ Up! Mini Pocket Envelope die instead to make cruise gratuity envelopes!

Each gratuity envelope is die cut with a different Stampin’ Up! designer paper and decorated with die cut stamped images or embellishments!   Cash is tucked inside each one.

Here is a peek at the variety of envelopes we are bringing:

  1. I love these gratuity pockets you have made. So very thoughtful and I love this die set but have yet to order it. Can you tell me if a gift card would fit in the pocket?

  2. Love this idea! Going on a cruise in January. Might have to make some of these. Are these gifts above and beyond the daily charge that the cruise line builds into your cruise fair?

    • We do this in addition to the daily gratuities that the ship charges. It’s optional but always appreciated by the staff.

  3. I am just loving going thru your blog and checking out all the interesting posts and varying content. You are brilliant! I also just watched your video on Texture Chic from June 2022 that showed a mini album. I have been looking for the post you promised viewers on how to make the album and am having no luck. Can you assist?

Other question I have is that I’ve been debating between the Mini Pocket Envelope Die Set and the Celebrate with Tags Bundle. I realize one is for tags and the other for gift cards but can the Tags Bundle be used as a gift card holder? I would like to have a simple die to make a quick gift card holder when I need them but ability to make a quick gift bag would be nice also. Since you own both, which one would you recommend so that I could get the most of one for my money? Thank you for all you do. You are an inspiration!!!!

    • I still have the albums sitting here in line for a weekly live video.. so they are coming soon. Thanks for checking.
I guess it depends which one you want to make more.. gift card holders or tags. I’d recommend the Mini Pocket Envelope die and then the tag punch I showed yesterday on my video for tags.
