I wish each one of you could see this card in person. .. it’s a WOW! I die cut the card front size Two-Toned Flora die in Basic White cardstock and added it on top of some Fancy Flora designer paper and it’s such a WOW!!!
My Recommendation is liquid glue to adhere the two layers, and then adhered it to the Soft Succulent card base.
The 2 flowers from Brushed Bouquet stamp set are stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a piece of the Fancy Flora paper, then die cut and added to the card with Shimmery Soft Succulent leaves!
Seriously… check this out.. no matter which gorgeous pattern from the Fancy Flora Paper you use, this Two-Toned Flora die looks amazing on top of it!!
Die Cutting Tips:
If you struggle with intricate dies like this one, I have 3 tips for you:
- Place the die upsidedown in your die cutting machine, with the cardstock on top of it when running it through your machine
- Always angle a square or rectangle shaped die like this, so that the point goes through first, not the straight side
- If you are still not getting a great cut, add a piece of waxed paper between the die and the cardstock.. it worked like magic for me! I cut about 25 of these perfectly with those tips!
All of these card making supplies are available in my online Stampin’ UP! store, please click the product photos at the bottom of my post to shop. Fancy Flora paper available online while supplies last.
This gorgeous birthday card features a greeting from the Framed Florets set, stamped onto a Scalloped Contour die. The card is finished off with some flat pearls.

Thanks for the die cutting tips, I’ve done all of them, but I have one for you! I saw an add for Sizzix Precision Base Plate and it works great for intricate dies. It warps a cutting plate, but I’ve found I used old warped ones and they work ok with it. You might want to look it up and see what you think. I personally use mine a lot and a couple of my friends do too.
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Thanks Patty for the trips with that die. I am off to try it naw as have been struggling to get a clean cut.
Awesome tip for the die; wax paper and angling did the trick. No more furstration.
Wish I knew it 3 weeks ago!!
