More By the Bay Stampin’ Up! cards

Tip for coloring By the Bay paper from Stampin' UP! with a Blending Brush!

So many more tips to share with you for using the Stampin’ Up! By the Bay Suite of card making products!!  If you missed my video, please see the replay at the bottom of the post. It will help explain all of these tips!!

Above/Below: use the long edge die on some By the Bay designer paper to cut a “sand” hill, and add color with a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink!! So pretty and sparkly with the gold foil!!

On this Kraft Note Card, I also incorporated one of my favorite tips:  scribble some ink (I used a Stampin’ Blends marker) on cardstock, then die cut.  It gives you a really cool variegated colored effect!!  I also die cut several layers of the Soft Succulent grass image and glued them one atop the other to give some added dimension.  MUCH easier than trying to use foam sheets or dimensionals on a skinny image like this.

Amazing Tip!

Look at this fun discovery!!  I used the small seashell dies in the Seaside Bay dies to die cut these to patterns of By the Bay paper and the shells turn out soooo pretty!!

  1. Hi Patty- thank you for this wonderful display of creativity and tips! I adore all the little extras you share with us.

Quick Question- instead of brushing SU’s Pearlized Enamel Effects on embossed cardstock, could I use Nuvo drops? (I’m asking just because I don’t have the former, but do have tons of the later!)

    Many thanks!

  2. You have been one of my top bloggers for years. I missed the boat on By the Bay Suite because this mini had so many great suites and bundles. I can’t wait for this one to come back. You give me so much inspiration with your tips and color combinations. Thank you so very much!
