Well, that’s a wrap.. and what a FUN Stampin’ Up! event it was!! Sara Douglass, CEO Stampin’ UP!, joined us at our Summer Stampin’ Soiree events last weekend, as we celebrated gathering together, making amazing projects, swapping, eating, learning new techniques, AND celebrating the 35th anniversary of Stampin’ UP! Kurstan del Rosario and I co-hosted this event, and I wanted to give another shout out and thank you to Kurstan and her helpers for pulling together all of the project packets, organizing the space and food, cute photo props, and handling all the registrations, orders, and details!

Meet April…. April is an amazing demonstrator, cardmaker and professional pop up card creator! 🙂 She taught us how to make a hegaxon pop up box with the Stargazing suite.. and let me tell you… it was worth the work and the temporary frustrations of figuring out how to make this.. but once you make one, its addictive and fun!! More on that project in a future post.

Absolute Funniest Moment of the day:
As we sat crafting and creating some of the projects at the Summer Soiree, Sara said, “does anyone have a trimmer?”.. and within a split second, Churie, Jennie and I all handed her one at the same time!! We had to capture this moment in a photo and then we giggled and laughed for a LONG time! 🙂
Thank you again to everyone who joined us from all over the US for this event. We had so much fun celebrating 35 years for Stampin’ Up! with Sara!! We had attendees from all over California, plus Alaska, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Wisconsin, and even a visitor from the UK! I believe there were a couple of other states represented, I’m sorry I didn’t write them all down. We appreciate you and hope to see you at our October event!!

Looks like an amazing time! Having all of those creative minds together is incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Patty,
Sure looks like a lot of fun … I bet Sara’s lots of fun … I sent her a birthday card years ago and that Dec she sent me one back but I don’t have the address anymore …
Oh I’m sure she loved that. I am pretty sure they still publish the address on the back of every catalog.
