Thanks to Kurstan, this was one of the card designs we created on the Crafting Cruise in September.. this super cute Stampin’ Up! card idea came from one of her classes!!
Can you believe it.. this was the first time I’d used the Patchwork Pieces dies… when you die cut 2 patterns, you can alternate them as shown and it makes just the BEST background!! Tip.. cut a piece of white cardstock (or whatever color you need) and build the patchwork pieces on the rectangle, then add to your card. The one used on this card ended up to be 3-3/8″ x 4-3/4″. But you can make it larger if you want more space between the patchwork pieces.
After assembling the background with the Real Red Brights design and the Patchwork Pieces dies, I stamped and colored my Pizza Man from the Supremely Awesome set with Stampin’ Blends markers.
I’m going to mail this card to my son… we all love pizza, and his favorite is pepperoni… and since I thought he’d like to get some happy mail, this seemed like the perfect card!

What a great card! The red and white paper is the perfect background and really makes the card “pop”. Thanks for the tips about piecing the patchwork and using multiple colors.
So glad you enjoyed it! It was so fun to make!
Hi, I just saw an 2000 card that you made. It was a fun fold Christmas card. I am looking for your measurements and how you did this card. It is so beautiful I wanted to do it for my Christmas cards this year. Thank you so much.
Hi Anna, I’m sorry but I don’t think I was posting any cards 23 years ago. Perhaps you are thinking of another crafter?
