Yesterday was fun!! Were you able to join me live as I shared all my tips for creating these adorable Country Birdhouse mini cards?
All Stampin’ Up! supplies are listed at the bottom of this post, but you’ll want the Country Birdhouse bundle, the Country Flowers bundle and the Country Woods DSP to create these mini cards.

It was kind of like playing paper dolls as I created these cute mini cards!! I die cut several (ok almost all) the patterns from the Country Woods DSP, then played by combining different designs together to make my birdhouses!
Below: If you cut a 4×6 sheet of the DSP, you can place the 4 dies on it as shown below and you can easily die cut 2 or 3 layers at once in the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
The “base” folded portion of the birdhouse card is Thick Basic White Cardstock. Fold it at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and you can die cut 3 birdhouses per sheet this way (shown below and on the video). I’m not sure if this is how she did it, but I saw this idea of the mini folded birdhouse from Leah Faye Handmade online.
Above & Below: Front and inside of the card. Most of the cards are similar on the inside with the birdie placed to peek through the hole in the front.
Tip: I wanted the eave of the roof to have extra dimension, so I die cut extra layers of that piece with scraps of Thick Basic White to glue under the DSP.
You could use any circle die, and maybe a punch, but this one comes in the set, so I used it for the hole.
In the Country Woods suite, I stamped and colored the floral designs for this card with the Country Flowers set. You can use the flowers in the Country Birdhouse bundle, but I kind of liked these larger flowers better.
Notice the difference between the photo on the left and right (below). I loved the added dimension of the shading/shadows under the eave and scallop trim. I used a Gray Granite or Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends bullet tip marker then added extra color with a fine tip permanent marker.
