Creating a watercolor wash is a great way to make an inexpensive colorful background with ANY colors! I created these with Stampin UP! ink pads and watercolor paper. I love the fall color combo combined with the Online Exclusive Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle.
Watercolor Techniques Card Video
The replay of our live video yesterday is now on my YouTube channel and I’ve reposted it at the bottom of this post for you!
Featured Bundle:
Click to Shop the Changing Leaves Bundle which includes the hybrid embossing folder.
This bundle is an Online Exclusive item and only available While Supplies Last.
If you scroll to the last photo in this post, you’ll see the background above withOUT the leaf outlined in color… I shared how to do this in my video. I loved the results and it’s SO easy!
This In Color Jute Trim is a little thick for my taste, so, I cut off about 20″, and pulled the strands apart, leaving 2 strands for my card. I wrapped it around the card and tied it with a bow. I liked this softer, looser look better than the 3 strand trim.

Thank you Patty for your good idea!!! Any color can be used.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Patty,
Is it possible to stamp with Versamark and use embossing powder over a dried watercolor panel?
Yes you can but just know that watercolor paper will really “suck up” the versamark ink and you may have difficulty getting it inked enough to hold the embossing powder.
I want to know how f you can stamp with Versamark over the watercolor panel and then heat emboss???
Love the cards. I love to watercolor cards. I am relatively new to Stampin’ UP as a Hobbyist and fortunately saw this on Facebook. I will be following you.
