Today I’m sharing 2 things you may not have thought of doing when you make handmade cards:
- Stamping directly onto designer paper (these roses are stamped onto Country Lace DSP)
- Stamping your image in 1 color and using a Blender Pen to blend out a little color
I used the Stampin’ Up! Stippled Rose image and stamped it in Moody Mauve ink directly onto the Country Lace designer paper, then used a Blender Pen to blend out a little bit of color while the ink was still fresh.

I know.. you might be saying.. WHY are you posting the same card 3 times? Well, actually I’m not… It’s the same layout and design, but I stamped the Stippled Rose image on 3 different Country Lace DSP patterns.
Each layer is 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and layered onto a Basic Beige Perennial Postage die cut, onto a Moody Mauve mat, onto the Moody Mauve Card Base.
While your Moody Mauve rose image is fresh, just use a Blender Pen to move a little bit of the color around and slightly shade the image.

Very great idea, they look beautiful!
Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous cards! I wouldn’t have thought to stamp on DSP. Thanks so much for sharing.
Great tip, Patty! Stamping directly onto DSP eliminates the need for creating an additional background. So easy!
