Today I’m excited to share a beautiful floral card I created with the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals stamp set and coordinating Mixed Media Florals designer patterned paper pack.
I stamped the image twice with Memento Black ink on Stampin’ Up! Basic White cardstock, then colored with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers (colors are listed in the supply list at the bottom of this post).
If I’m ever in doubt about a card, I usually add a border with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker and my inking triangle. Of course it takes me back to my 19 years of drafting in architectural and engineering offices, but I just love the finished look it lends to a card.
The Layers:
- Lemon Lolly base card: 4-1/4″ x 11″ top fold
- White 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer embossed with Soft Waves embossing folder
- Black and white Mixed Media Floral Layer: 3-3/8″ x 4-5/8″
- Stamped white layer: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
- Greeting; Greetings for All Ephemera pack

Great tip on bordering your card front with a marker!!! I haven’t done this in a long time. Thanks for the reminder! Bordering really frames the image & adds special interest to the card front.
