Grab some embossing folders and several sheets of 4″ x 5-1/4″ vellum, and have fun creating beautiful, and EASY, card fronts! For this pair of birthday cards I used the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Flowers embossing folder.

The fun part about all of the embossed vellum cards I’ve been making lately was experimenting with colors and patterns to put behind the embossed vellum. These 2 cards are layered onto pieces of designer paper from the Elegant Pines Snowflake paper pack.

I had a few leaf die cut pieces left over from the Petals of Beauty dies from my Pop Out Cards, but they weren’t quite the perfect shade of green, so I colored over much of the Granny Apple Green cardstock with 3 Stampin’ Blends, then sprinkled them with Wink of Stella.

I used ephemera pieces for all the words on these pressed flowers birthday card projects today. They are found in the Saying Something Mix & Match ephemera pack from Stampin’ Up!
Each card is finished of with some glitter sequins. Find all of these supplies in my online Stampin’ UP! store by clicking the product photos at the bottom of this post. Thank you for your order!

Beautiful Patty, thank you
I’m happy you liked it Elizabeth!! Thanks for stopping by today!
So pretty! I love this idea. These cards are so versatile and the elegance of the embossed vellum makes them perfect for so many occasions. I have to admit that I’m relieved I don’t have to learn how to press real flowers, which is what I thought when I first read the subject line. 😁😂
I should have posted some of the pressed flower cards I made with my grandma when I was young… I didn’t even think about the REAL pressed flower cards I’ve made!! I can still “smell” the scent of ironing the flowers between waxed paper!
What a wonderful memory! 💕
How very beautiful, original and simple your card is. Thank you for I r the idea.
Love everything about these: from the embossed vellum, colored leaved, Wink of Stella and ephemera! Thank you for sharing all of it!
Awesome thank you for sharing
