The Book Binding Fold card is really one of the very easiest fun fold cards you can create, and I love making them, not only because they are easy, but as I mentioned in my Cardstock Cutting Tips video, I love that I can cut a 12×12 piece of designer paper into 3 strips of 4″ each, then cut those into 4″ squares, and voila… I have enough squares to make 9 cards per sheet of DSP!

The same goes for the 12×12 white inside. I prefer the White Willow, but you can also use 12×12 Basic White.

A variety of red and pink cardstock pieces are spread out, along with patterned paper featuring hearts and "XO" designs. Two white grid paper notes show measurements and instructions for cardmaking, including “DSP 4x4, 1x4” and “Score 4¼ + 5½, flip, cut 4¼.”. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

Book Binding Card Dimensions

Base Card – 4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 4-1/4″ and 5-1/2″
Front DSP pieces: 1″ x 4″ and 4″ x 4″
White Willow Square inside: 4″x 4″
Seal the 1-1/4″ wide section of the card together to create the book binding edge. (you can wrap your ribbon inside before sealing shut, or tie it all the way around the card).
