I was thinking about all my friends who love it when I post flowers colored in shades of purple when I selected my Stampin’ Blends Color Combo for this vertical slimline card featuring the new Flowers Fair stamp. Instead of using the floral image on a standard size card front, I stamped it 3 times on Basic White cardstock strips to make a vertical slimline card with 3 layers (dimensions below).

Reminder: Stampin’ Up! suggests using Basic White cardstock and a Memento Black ink pad for stamping when you are coloring with Stampin’ Blends markers.

Vertical Slimline Card Dimensions

  • Petunia Pop card base: 7-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 3-3/4″ and fold in 1/2.
  • Cut 3 basic white cardstock pieces: 3-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ to stamp, color and layer on the front.
  • Use a business size envelope (#10)
Three pieces of white cardstock, each 3.5" x 8.25", are stamped with black floral designs and trimmed along the flower tops. A black ink pad labeled “Memento” is at the top. Instructions read: “cut 3 pieces 3-1/2" x 8-1/4", stamp and trim as shown.”. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

Stamp the Flowers Fair image 3x as shown above, color all 3, and trim above the flowers on the 2 smaller pieces. Layer them together with Stampin’ Dimensionals or Foam Adhesive Sheets.

A trio of floral cards in various stages of coloring rest on a marble surface with an array of purple and pink Stampin’ Blends markers, a Memento ink pad, and crafting scissors. The cards feature hand-colored flowers and the PattyStamps.com watermark. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

Isn’t this so cool? It really looks like a beautiful garden of purple posies when you put the 3 layers together with Foam Adhesive Sheets or Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  1. These are gorgeous slimlines! You’ve shown such a creative way to use a big stamp like this, as well as shown how different the same design can look with different color schemes. I always look for ways to “stretch” the different ways a big stamp can be used. So creative, Patty, as always! You’ve inspired me!
