Quick & Easy card ideas with Ephemera

I hope you enjoyed watching my live card making video on my YouTube channel yesterday!! If you missed it, I’ve included the replay at the bottom of this post for you. During the video, we explored how to combine the fun Mix & Match Ephemera pieces from Stampin’ Up! with circle & square drafting templates (in my Amazon Craft Room Favorites store) to make quick and easy cards. I used my Journaling Pen with the templates to add accents to several of my cards.

The card above features 2 left over pieces of paper I had previously embossed with the Lazy Daisy embossing folder. I’ve layered 4 different ephemera pieces on top, using a Stylish Shapes circle die cut as a focal point background.

A note card size (3-1/2″ x 5″) is sometimes all the space you need for a quick and easy card. I combined several ephemera pieces and drew a rectangle with my Journaling Pen on the yellow plaid background.

I just love the pop of color that the black circles add to the printed designer paper.. you can see the “before and after” by comparing the DSP on the envelope flap and on the card front.

Below: my favorite card from today: I used the Heirloom Boutique floral dies to die cut designer paper from the Everyday Essentials and Paper Medley packs, then paired up the bold black, white and yellow designs with Granny Apple Green patterns from the Brights Painted Patterns pack. (notice the black circles drawn on the green printed circles, the ephemera tags/labels and the fun black gem accents!)
