Manhattan Flower Die on Cardstock Vellum

I love the Manhattan flower embossing die with the Stampin' Up! Cardstock Vellum!

DSC06240 copy

To adhere the vellum to the Apricot Appeal cardstock, I ran my snail down the left side of the card, attached the vellum, then covered that with my ribbon! 🙂

I used my FAVORITE new stamp set and punch – both from the New Occasions Mini catalog:

Oval All stamp set, #113790, $16.95, set of 4

Scallop Oval Punch, #114889, $15.95

Close up copy

Super quick and simple card, but really gorgeous in person!

  1. Holy moly, that is gorgeous on the vellum! I was fixing to ask you how you stuck the vellum onto the cs, but you answered that right away. SO gorgeous!

  2. I love this card! I just tried it and was wondering if you have any tips on how to run it through the Big Shot so it doesn’t tear the vellum. I am not sure of the sandwich I should be using. Thanks for any help.

  3. I actually tried using the vellum cs and this embossing folder a couple of weeks ago and I’m finding that the vellum tears. Any tips that you might have to prevent this? I’d sure appreciate any help that you can give me. Thanks in advance!

  4. A few people have emailed me about this…. 2 things we kind of found everyone had in common…either their vellum was a little bit old (dry, brittle when embossed), and/or they lived in a very dry climate… it seemed like those 2 things were posing a problem… do either of those apply to your situation?
Also… try doing the “sandwich” without any tabs on the platform. I think according to the platform, we should be using one tab with this sandwich, but that made it too hard to run it through for me. SO i have been doing it with NO tabs.

  5. Nancy.. you didn’t leave any contact info, so I’m hoping you’ll read the answer here.. that ribbon is the same as on this card.. it’s on pg 179, upper left hand corner, Organza Ribbon.. I think it’s the best deal in the whole catalog!
