I'm really excited about this handstamped floral birthday card! It combines the Oh So Succulent Stampin' Up! bundle with the Basket Builder Framelit dies to create a beautiful basket of flowers!! Cindee shared this idea with me and we made this card together! We also used the gorgeous Succulent Garden designer printed paper in the background of the card.
The top-fold card is Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, and the matching ribbon is the perfect touch! I am generally not a "pink and purple" person, and that is the beauty of stamping with a friend… they help you create with colors and products you didn't know you liked!! Thank goodness for stamping buddies like Cindee, now I'm friends with Sweet Sugarplum!!!!
We die cut the basket and flower images with the Big Shot, and then added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers to make them sparkle.
TIP: sponge the bottom (solid) layer of the basket (or die cut with darker cardstock) to give a contrasting color and dimension.
You'll find all of the products to make this card on pages18 – 21 of the 2017 Occasions catalog, or HERE in my online store. You can also click on any of the product images at the bottom of this post to purchase that item or read more about it in my online store.
Design Tip: die cut a circle or oval with the Stitched Shape Framelits for the focal point of your card design.. it adds so much interest, depth and dimension to the card!
The sparkly Wink of Stella on the flowers is so pretty in person… a little bit difficult to photograph, but really lovely in person!
Did you notice that my greeting is on a whisper white banner? Well, that was out of necessity… ugh!! I almost always stamp my inked images onto my Grid Paper first, to make sure I got them adequately inked, but DARN IT, wouldn't you know it.. the one time I didn't do that and stamped it right onto the finished card, my image was not well inked at all!! SO, I make a little paper banner and stamped on that 🙂
The Stampin' UP! Banner Triple Punch is perfect for making the banner ends. Have you tried that punch yet? I think it might be my most used punch!
