Box Die from Stampin’ Up!

ScreenHunter_11 Jan. 22 09.09I just love the new Box Die from Stampin' Up! (pg 194)  I used it with my BIG SHOT and had WAY too much fun creating little boxes!!!

Here are 2 of the finished boxes I made:

ScreenHunter_17 Jan. 25 18.02 I can't get enough of these new adorable Corduroy Buttons!!!  (have you joined my button club yet? You'll get one of each of the new buttons, brads and clips – 44 pieces for only $16 mailed to you!)

Here is what the cardstock looks like after you cut it out with the box die and the Big Shot:

It's super easy to put together.. all you need is one SMALL piece of Sticky Strip on the little "bump out" on the very right of the die cut above, then you fold on all the score lines and voila.. a cute little box! You can use Designer Series Paper, or Cardstock or, for an even sturdier box, use our new cardstock weight DSP: Rockabilly, Parisian Breeze, To the Nines or Sweet Slumber (all on pg 158).

For the pink one, I decied to see what it would be like to give the lid a little liner:

Here are the measurements I used for the liner piece:

I'm teaching a stamping class ALL week at my son's High School this week.. so stay tuned for all the FUN projects we are working on!

  1. Patty, I really enjoy and appreciate the time and effort you put into your web site. It is one I visit daily to see what you’ve posted. Thank you so much for all the helpful things you put on your site which are great references such as the size you cut the box liner for that box. That die is on my list to purchase!

  2. Hi Patty,
Thanks for featuring this die today. I have been wondering about it.
I was wondering how large the box is once its put together. Can you put some candy inside and let us know about how many pieces it holds? Maybe something like Hershey kisses or something you have around your house?
Thanks for showing so many great projects and for sharing w/ us.

  3. Thanks for sharing these cute boxes with us Patty!
But I’m a bit hesitant about ordering this new box die – I ordered the pillow box and was really disappointed with how small it is.
Can you share the finished dimensions of this box or as someone else asked how many pieces of candy can it hold?
