iCraft Class – Day 1

I have been having the BEST time this week – I've been teaching the iCraft Class at my son's High School… I have 10 WONDERFUL young ladies in my class and an excellent teacher who is helping me.  We have been having a GREAT week, and I will be sharing our projects with you over the next few days!

Day 1 – Project 1: we started with this fun "bag tag" made from chipboard and Designer Paper, personalized with their initial.  They LOVED using the Big Shot for this project!

Inspiration for this project came from a darling gift I received at Leadership from Allison Barber. Thanks, Allison!!

  1. How fun. What a great way for seniors to be able to keep their memories. They look like they are having a blast…of course why not with a wonderful, talented, and inspiring person like to teach them this craft.

  3. Terrific idea for my granddaughters (twins), going to high school in September. I’m assuming the alphabets are Serif Essentials. I would love to see how you did this project.
Love it !!! Great idea for anyone.
    Thanks for sharing.

  4. Patty what wonderful projects you are offering for these girls. the album is something they will have to cherish forever and also to get them interested in scrapbooking. It is great that they are learning how to preserve their memories at a young age!
What fun they must be having!

  5. Oh..those girls are so lucky to get to do that with you. I love that you are crafting with those girls. Kids miss that in their lives. Most parents don’t think to give that to their children also. They think of band, sports etc, but all children need to learn a crafty thing!

  6. What a wonderful thing to do for these girls. My upline and I went to our local high school for three months last year to have them help make cards for our Ronald McDonald house. What fun loving kids we met. Our first class we had expected maybe 12 girls to show BUT we ended up with 33 boys and girls there! They received credit for volunteer hours, and we received a large number of cards to donate to RMD House. The kids loved making the cards and were so proud of cards and where they were going. Hopefully we can go back in the future to do more of the same. One more thing~your projects are wonderful. Look forward to directions on how to make them. Thank you Patty!

  8. I loved reading through all the posts about the time you spent with the girls. Don’ you just love teaching teens.. They are so willing to learn and not afraid to ask for help… I had the chance to teach 2 classes at the Junior high and I have to say they listened sooooooo much better than my ladies at clubs.etc.. do.. And I told then how proud I was of them and I told my club girls how much better the Junior high girls were.. It was a good giggle. You did some great projects.. Did I see 2 big shots in the photo? You totally rock at SU..
    Hugs
    Brooke
