Stampin’ Up! Leadership in Photos – part 1

Whew.. I'm back home from Leadership after another 13 hour travel day… AND I experienced THE WORST fear of any stamper…. my luggage doesn't show up when I get to my home airport… I'm thinking of all my swaps and all my free stamp sets and all my Make & Take supplies.. etc.  (never fear, I had  my new catalog WITH ME on the plane!)….  BUT it wasn't just myluggage that was missing… somehow they couldn't find the entire group of luggage that had traveled from Orlando to California via Albuquerque!!!.. aaaack!   We kept asking the Southwest agent to track down all our suitcases and FIANLLLLLY an hour after we landed they "found them" all and whoosh, they came tumbling through the baggage carousel… That was ONE tense hour!  :)

So.. if you don't know WHY I was tense about the missing luggage… HERE is what was in there (in addition to my clothes, etc):

All my Memento Mall purchases, my 4 free stamp sets, all my Make & Take stuff, all my swaps and gifts, free Decor Elements that they gave us, and my Super Hero Tin from the Manager's Reception evening!

I guess the TSA agent found this an interesting assortment of luggage items, cuz they searched my bag:

The Memento Mall Stampin' Up! Exclusive items were sooooo fun this year!  Here are few of them:

Pencil Bags and pencils in a new DSP pattern called Raspberry Tart:

YES!  A new umbrella.. I've had my yellow tulip Stampin' Up! umbrella for sooo many years and it's "dying", so I'm really happy to have a new one with the new Fifth Avenue Floral design on it.

A cute flamingo:

And we each got the CUTEST BAG ever when we checked in… as if the bag wasn't cute enough, it came with our NEW CATALOG, a Spanish version catalog, a new Decor Elements catalog, a free stamp set, our info for the week, a pen, a pin, …. wow… amazing!

It has 4 slots for cards, so I put 4 swap cards in it from fellow demonstrators!

I had made a chipboard tag covered in DSP before we left.. I was HOPING it would coordinate with the bag we got.. boy did I get lucky! :)

The stripes are one of the patterns in the new Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP, which is cardstock weight and textured!! It's FAB paper and sure to be a favorite!

I've got lots of goodies from Memento Mall to share as incentives and prizes with my downline and for BLOG CANDY here.. so keep watching!

Tune in tomorrow and the next day, and the next… and well, every day!! for more updates and photos!

  1. I so wish it would have worked for me to go to leadership…I’ve been checking your blog several times a day for all the fun info!!! My box of catalogs haven’t arrived yet…so I’m dying!!! Thanks for all the info you have shared…looks like you had a fantastic time! I say under the supply list that they had the make and take packet for sale…I called to see if we were going to be able to buy some on a supply order…the gal never called back…and it sounds like there was a stampede for them there…so I’m sure they sold them all…
I can’t wait to see your photos when you can post them! I’m happy you and your luggage made it home safe! 🙂
    Hugs!

  7. My gosh you share so much its hard to think of a new technique you haven’t shown us but I guess the one I would like to see would be watercoloring using either the crayons, inks or markers.

  11. Hi Patty,
I am so sad I could not attend Leadership this year – it looks like it was the best ever! But I will be going to the Seattle Regional in April, and of course convention. Can hardly wait!
I’d like to see a tutorial using the new embossing folders and the new dies for the Big Shot.

  15. I love your blog! For tutorials, I’d like to see dry embossing. I have the light table but still struggle to get the right look. Also, if you have any paper-folding techniques (fancy fold, flip flop, sliders, etc.) that would be great too. Thanks for everything you do!
