iCraft Class – Day 4

On our 4th day of the iCraft Class, we had a "field trip" to a local Senior Assisted Living Center and we delivered the 150 candy cello bags we had made the day before:

We used the Big Shot and the Scallop die and the Top Note die to cut out Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette Cardstock, then stamped the toppers and stapled them to the small and medium cello bags filled with all different candies.

We took time to visit with the residents who were having lunch in the dining room, we gave them our candy gifts, and then we all went to a salad bar place for lunch… YUM!

On that day we also worked on some other projects…. did you know stamping is more fun in froggie slippers!?  🙂

Using the Petal Card die, we made these goodies for the office staff at school (candy heart inside each one):

And one girl made these adorable Valentine's to give to friends also using the Petal Card die:

Another gal made these for her friends:

  1. She’s the teacher? OMIGOSH!!! I was looking at the faces in some of the earlier photos and trying to figure out if one of them was the teacher but I wouldn’t have guessed her being old enough to be the teacher.
What a great thing to take treats to the Senior Center…by any chance is this a public high school or a private school which values community service? I’m guessing not a public school but I have been wrong before. Jan Hoyt http://www.inkerzaway.blogspot.com

  2. How lucky you are to find teenagers to stamp with! My 17 year old and her friends are so not into it and it just drives me crazy. I mean, how can you NOT like stamping? Maybe I will share these pics with them to generate some motivation. What an awesome experience for you and them!

  3. Patty, how awesome! You did a great job with these young ladies. Someday you will have to tell us more about setting up a high school craft class. I think these girls really liked this. Did they or the school have to pay for it? And to top it off with going to the seniors and giving back!!! that is what it is all about.
