Button Clubs and Ribbon Clubs UPDATE

DSC05559 Whew! As you can see, I've been busy this weekend!  My dear husband has been helping me sort and bag Buttons, Brads and Clips!  (When I asked if he wanted to sort and package ribbons, he kinda stared blankly at me… but I'm thankful for the button help!) 🙂

The first 5 filled clubs of Buttons/Brads/Clips (orders through 1/22/09) will go out on Monday!  The first 3 filled Ribbon Clubs (orders through 1-21-09) will go out by Tues. or Wed.!  Orders placed after that will go out later this week, as the other supplies from Stampin' Up! arrive.

  1. Hey Patty!
Just an idea, you could send one container with each order, if there’s enough. That way, your customers will have an extra little container for loose items.
I wanted to Thank You for all your great ideas! I made a purse tag for my daughter and am hoping to get some orders for them. I posted it on my blog and of course gave credit to you!!! Thanks again!

  2. If you find a good use for those, I’d sure like to know…and empty embossing powder pots, too! There’s got to be something! I know you’ll get creative…you’re the reason I save all of my DSP backing sheets!

  3. You could alter the containers with something on the top and some ribbon, fill it with something (candy always works) and next get together with your ladies, it could be a fun treat for each one of them! I always love to come visit with you!

  4. Patti – perhaps you could have the students in your high school class make a “friends string” by attaching face photos to scallop die cuts and running a ribbon from one to the next. If you did the string vertically they could hang it inside a locker door. They could store or carry the string in the plastic cases you have left over. Might be a neat idea for your down line for convention too- you know, take photos of their family to convention with them!

  5. Hey Patty, I also think your high school iCraft classes, or other classes, could make great use of these containers. They would be great with a band around them that could slide on and off, maybe with a scallop punch over the top center. How many times do you wish you had a little container in your purse?? These would be great for earrings, or other rings, or ponytail holders–during those times you have to take them off when you’re not home. (my chiropractor does xrays and I have to take out my earrings, and I have no place to put them) They’d make great vitamin/supplement holders for your purse (if you don’t have little kids who could get into them). You could also put m&m’s or other little snacks in there to have while you’re out…you could put enough in there for a treat, but not enough to pig out and regret 😉 These would be fun “snack boxes” for kids, if you put their initial on the scallop punch.

  6. My thought was the same as someone had previously written.
Include one container with each order so they have something to store their goodies in.

  7. I’d be interested in purchasing some of the containers, too. They’d make great storage for the large quanity of buttons, eyelets and brads I have. Thanks.

  8. I agree with some of the other ‘post’ers and would love to have some of the containers to store the brads and buttons in.
Thanks for always putting together the greatest things and for all your wonderful ideas.

  9. My upline created a great project with the leftover containers. It could be used to hold candy or as a pen/pencil holder. She used DSP and placed that inside the bottom of the container and then used the ribbon to cover the bottom sides of the container. She the used either the Pennant or Scallop Circle #2 of the big shot and put that on the top of the container and cut the tabs and placed them down and around the sides of the container and added ribbon and some other big shot pieces to the top to decorate. It looked really cute!!

  10. I have a great project for the containers. First you find something yummy or anything else that will fit in the containers. Then you stamp something to cover the SU label. ( The scallop punch works great behind what you stamped and it’s the perfect size to cover the Su label) Then take a med cello bag and cut the bottom on the bag off, so both ends are open. Then you put the container in the cello bag in the middle. Then tie ribbon on both side of the container to keep it in. Looks like candy inside a candy wrapper.

  11. I was wondering if you could reuse these containers instead of the ziplocs, making an new ‘club label’ for them, maybe there are too many to fit, but it was a thought. Take care.
