Tomorrow is the BIG DAY… our son graduates from High School!!! OH my goodness.. I just can't put into words how fast the last 18 years have gone by!!!! We are very blessed and are so thankful for such a wonderful kid!!!
I made some cards for his friends… yes… I used a RETIRED graduation set… I knew years ago that I should hold on to it just for this very day…. then POOF… the day has arrived!!!! (yep, I had to grab a kleenex!)
These are 3×6 cards in small open-end envelopes tied up with ribbon. I did use the Varsity Alpha/nunbers set and our NEW Crushed Curry cardstock, ink and ribbon… LOVE that new ribbon.. oh man!! :) I printed the school logo from the newsletter and added it to the card 🙂
Check back for more photos this weekend… what an exciting weekend it will be!
I love this color combo. Yes, 18yr. slide by quickly, don’t they?
Terrific card, Patty! Congrats on your son’s graduation. Time really does fly. Enjoy the festivities.
Oh, congratulations Patty! My oldest graduated 3 years ago and I remember just sitting in the bleachers unbelieving that it was time for him to graduate. Next year my middle son graduates. My how the time flies by so quickly! Have a super fun weekend!
Don’t forget the tissues! I’m bringing mine for my son’s Kindergarten graduation! It’s wonderful, but sad, to watch your kids grow up. 🙂

Congrats to your son and you. For tomorrow if there is only one word I can give to you it would be “Kleenex”. I was so overcome with such complete joy when my kdis graduated. I almost was bursting at the seams. I know you will be also. Have a wonderful day, it is okay to cry and be proud, you should be.
Your cards are so cute.I really love the colour combo.

Hi Patty,
Wow, I can’t believe Jason is old enough to graduate…..and you are right, he is a very wonderful kid! Good luck with graduation!
Oh, I still have that same retired set and use it all the time each spring!
Take care,
Jennifer Thomas,
Congratulations! All your graduation creations are wonderful! WOW…Have a blessed day as you celebrate. The time does go so fast, and I remember the bittersweet experience of my boys graduating…but it only gets better and better. I consider them two of my very best friends! I love our adult-to-adult conversations. Every stage is a blessing, and they only get better!
Awesome cards! The crushed curry looks lovely! I held onto that stamp set as well. It is still my favorite Graduation set yet! I also used it this year to stamp for graduates in my life.
Love your blog!
