Shimmer Paint
Shimmer Spray & Shimmer Stencils
The background is spritzed with shimmer paint.. instructions are at the bottom of this post.
The ornament was sponged (with a Sponge Dauber) and Rich Razzleberry Classic ink using the VINTAGE ORNAMENTS #1 STENCILS from page 29 in the Definitely Decorative Decor Elements catalog and the Platinum Shimmer Paint.

Shimmer Spray & Shimmer Stencils
Make your own Shimmer Paper!
Supplies:
· Shimmer paint from Stampin’ Up!
· Sponge Daubers
· Cardstock and Rubber Stamps
· Definitely Decorative Stencils from Stampin’ Up!
· Small Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol
Directions:
- For Shimmer Spray, fill small spray bottle 2/3 full with rubbing alcohol and add a few drops of Shimmer Paint. Shake and spray!
- To Stencil: Shake Shimmer Paint, open lid and dab sponge dauber into paint that is inside the lid
- Dab off excess on scrap paper if necessary

I love the shimmer paint mist technique. I do have a question that I am hoping you might be able to answer, when you use the shimmer mist with alcohol is it safe for scrap booking or not. I a demo and I scrap book but I can’t remember if that would be ok or not. Thanks,

Hi Patty – I had a question about this technique:
I tried it, and the Shimmer Paint leaked underneath the stencil, so the image spread out and wasn’t crisp. Do you have any tips for me to get a crisp image with the Shimmer Paint and the Stencils?
