At our September Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting, Cindee demonstrated this awesome technique that we saw at the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City, UT this summer. We called it STAMPIN' MIST RESIST. Diana Gibbs showed this at Convention.. thanks Di for your inspiration!
Above was one of our Make & Take projects featuring the gorgeous ORNATE BLOSSOM stamp on pg 99 in the Stampin' Up! catalog (item 117094)… and below are several samples using this technique also done by Cindee. Here is a group of Luv 2 Stamp demonstrators intently listening to Cindee.
Cindee's instructions for this Stampin' Mist Resist Technique:
Start with Whisper White cardstock, and "color" it with your choice of ink pad using the "direct to paper method" (swirl and pounce ink pad directly onto the whisper white cardstock until it's covered in ink).
Ink your focal point stamp with Versamark ink, then spritz it several times with Stampin' Mist.
Stamp it onto the piece of cardstock you colored with the ink pad. (do not use colored cardstock)
As it dries, it looks like it was stamped in bleach and/or like it was embossed.
You will need Stampin' Mist and a Versamark pad for this technique:
Versamark pad, item #102283
