Happy 20th Birthday Jason!

My son is DELIGHTING in reminding me that as of today, I no longer have a teenager anymore…aaaaaaaaaaaaaah how can THAT BE??

Today my baby turns 20 !!!  Happy Birthday Jason! You are the most wonderful and precious gift from God.. we love you!!

Jason golf birthday

Here is an MDS (My Digital Studio) birthday card I made for Jason... he has a silly sense of humor so I know he'll appreciate this.. I made an Easter card like this for him one year using the Stampin' Up! Chocolate Bunny stamp, but this time I used MDS to create the card and the mirror image Chocolate Bunny.

Jason bunny card

get it… someone ate the ears off the chocolate bunny so he can't hear? 🙂

Card jb bday 2011 2-002 If you've used the Chocolate Bunny stamp or the MDS image, you'll notice that the bunny is an "outline image", so to make it look like solid chocolate, I added Creamy Caramel oval and circle shapes behind the outline (see image at right)

Card jb bday template <<<<< Here is the MDS template I started with to make this card, you'll find it under "CARDS / 4-1/4"X5-1/2" (portrait)" then it's the template called CELEBRATIONS.  You'll have this template if you bought THIS DOWNLOAD.

  1. Happy Birthday to your boy! You can always tell him (as my brother told me when I turned 20) that he’s “nothing” now. He’s not a teenager & he’s not “legal” yet, so he’s nothing. 🙂

  2. It’s very odd, and tugs at a mother’s heart, when after all those years of raising your children you discover none of them are teenagers anymore! My “baby” is 22, but still in college, so at least I can feel like the nest is not completely empty! Very cute card!!

  3. This card is hysterical. It took us old folks (my husband and I) a while to figure out that the ears were gone off the right-hand bunny! Thanks for blessing our day and bring laughter into our living room!:)

  4. Happy Birthday, Jason!
P.S. My son, Robbie, turns 17 today. It’s a great day for a birthday! I surely understand the bittersweetness of your children growing up. Sometimes I can’t WAIT for them to grow up and move out, but then I realize he’s ALMOST grown and will soon move out. 🙁 Fortunately, I have a couple of “spares” who will be around for a while!

  5. Love the bit with the bunny’s ears eaten off! Very funny!!! And the entire card is a great example of what can be done with MDS. Nice job! Ermajean

  8. Hi Patty, I hope I am doing this correctly. I have never blogged before or commented on a blog. I just want to say Happy Birthday to Jason! I feel like we have been a part of his life. I remember him when he was just a little boy. I hope he enjoys his birthday!
    Sincerely,
    Denise

How could one of you faithful blog readers become related to Patty? By having a near-age daughter/niece marry our son! HA HA.
