I love the Chyrsanthemum flowers featured in this Stampin’ UP! Symbols of Fortune paper!! I fussy cut them with my Paper Snips and added 3 of them to the front of this gorgeous Slimline card!!
Symbols of Fortune Paper is available now while supplies last! #157652 in my online Stampin’ UP! store!
Adding a few layers, like the Heart & Home doilies, a die cut circle and some designer paper layers ads lots of interest and texture to this card. You can grab all of these supplies in my online store by clicking the product photos at the bottom of this post!
My Slimline measurements:
For the Stampin’ UP! slimline envelopes, I cut my base cardstock at: 7″ x 8-1/2″, then the layers are up to you. This one has an Evening Evergreen layer at 3″ x 8″ and a Symbols of Fortune layer at 2-3/4″ x 7-3/4″.
Craft Tip!
Did you notice the Evergreen “twine”? It’s actually Linen Thread colored with my Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends!! 🙂

Beautiful Card Patty!! I also wanted to comment on your sneak preview on new product that you did from your hotel room. I really enjoyed that!! You really take a lot of time to REALLY show the product and go over details about them and I think that is SO HELPFUL!! Describing the feel and flexibility of the new ribbon and the different patterned papers. Just from looking at the ribbon in the catalog I would think it would be more stiff and would not want to purchase that but in your video you showed how pliable and soft it was and that is helpful so Thank YOU!! I also thoroughly enjoyed your back and forth reference to your “helper” !! You made me laugh several times!! It truly is so evident that you LOVE what you do and that is inspiring to us all!!
Beautiful! By coloring the linen thread, doesn’t the ink rub off?
It might with waterbased ink, but with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol based) it does not.
Patty, This card is beautiful. I think the Symbols of Fortune paper is my all time favorite. I have yet to make a slimline card but do have the envelopes. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
