Thank you sooo much for your amazing comments on my

first DRESS UP FRAME project!

I have frame #2 to share with you today!

Dress frame 1

I know what you are thinking… this girl never grew up… she's still playing with Paper Dolls… well, I guess so! 🙂

The secret to these ADORABLE dresses is the

STAMPIN UP DRESS UP FRAMELITS!

You can view these on pg 32 of the Spring Catalog,

or online here.  It's amazing to think about the amount of pleasure these simple $24.95 framelts have brought me!

Here are some close ups and details on each dress.

Dress up tea for two 1This dress is cut from a piece of Designer Paper from the Tea for Two DSP package.

You can see all the patterns on pg 3 in the Spring mini catalog, or HERE ONLINE.

I added a row of pearls at the waist and a Flower brooch.

cuteness, right?

The difference between this set of dresses and my first frame, is that for these dresses i mounted them on the Dress Form that is a part of the Framelit set.  I cut them out of Basic Gray cardstock.

  BELOW:

I cut a doily for an apron for this dress, and the dress is cut out of a piece of DSP from the Print Poetry Paper Stack.

Victoria Lace Crochet trim and Cherry Cobbler Twine finish off the waist.

Doesn't this just look like something from the 30's or 40's?

BELOW:  This dress also features the Print Poetry Designer Paper Stack… the dress is cut in 2 pieces and "pieced" together at the waist, under the Midnight Muse ribbon sash.

The fun print just speaks for itself on this one!  Dress up print poetry dsp blue

OK, I will admit.. I thought this was mighty clever and really thinking outside the box (or outside the dress!)…

THIS cute little cocktail dress is actually the Gossamer Lace stamp cut out with the dress framelit!!

I know..

I know..

too fun!

Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon and a flower cinch up the waist and a sweetheart necklace of pearls completes this sweet outfit!

Dress up paper doilyOur last ensemble today is another Tea for Two designer dress… with a colored doily (sponged with Regal Rose) and some new Old Olive 3/8" striped Organdy Ribbon at the waist.

  1. Patty, you’ve done it again! I love them all – if I had to choose one it would be #2.. Two ladies that you know played paper dolls yesterday. We had so much fun !

  2. Patty, these are beautiful! I am planning on making some of these dresses today. Thanks for the idea and inspiration! My favorite is the cocktail dress. I am going to case it in black, since it reminds me so much of a dress I had for my senior prom!

  3. You are always so creative and have so many great ideas. To pick only one, I have to choose the midnight muse dress. I plan to make the frame with dresses to hang in my sewing area. Thanks for your great ideas.

  6. Love all of them…you are so creative!! If I had to choose, I especially like the blue one in the middle. I’m still on the fence about these framelits…I really don’t want to get into the expense of the pop-up dies or even the stamp set…but you’ve made me at least consider the possibilities of this product. Can’t see what else you do with it!!

  7. I sure wish I could come to your class! This stamp set and framelit is the best ever! I think we should all be able to play “paper dolls”. Remember those??? How fun it was, and how fun this is going to be, doing almost the same thing! I can’t wait to have time to work with it. Soon, I hope. Finishing up things for my Valentine club, and on to this… I’m going to use it for Mother’s Day. I want to move to CA so I can come play dolls with you…

  11. Hi Patty,
Yep, these dresses do bring back memories! Seems like my mom and aunts always had an apron on;) My favorite is the red lace.
I’m shocked that is a stamped red piece of cardstock! Super project, hope you do more!
