Cruise Week Special
Today is the big day… the day that we hand in our swaps on the Stampin' Up! cruise!!
Do you remember a couple weeks ago, I shared some of my swap card design ideas with you when I was working on my Cruise Swaps (see this post)? Several of you left me a comment to say which one you liked best.. well, I did kind of a hybrid between 2 of the ideas and this is what I ended up making for my Stampin' Up! Cruise swap!
I was so excited that I FINALLY broke out the Backyard Basics stamp set and framelits (can you believe I had not used them yet!?) and I used the butterfly from that stamp set on my cards… then it was published on the retiring list and promptly SOLD OUT within a couple of days! ! Wow! I hope my fellow cruisers don't mind that this butterfly is now unavailable… oh well.
A little Behind the Scenes Sneak Peek…
I did a watercolor wash with Calypso coral and Daffodil Delight ink on Watercolor Paper with my Aqua Painter. Then I stamped the butterfly with Staz On ink on the dry paper, and die cut them with Backyard Basics butterfly framelit.
Only had to create 25 swaps for the cruise … this is how I get all the pieces stamped, cut and ready to assemble.
I punched the tags with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch with watercolor paper then stamped the flower and stem images from the Simple Stems stamp set on the watercolor paper.
Below is another version of this card.
