Stampin Up! Christmas Tag Ideas

True Confession…

I don't know about you, but in addition to being a Gift Wrap-a-holic I am also a Gift Tag-a-holic… I LOVE to make gift tags, buy gift tags, collect gift tags, store gift tags… yep, I even still have Hallmark gift tags from 20+ years ago before I made them!! whew! 🙂

So, in that spirit, I thought I better share a few that I've made this year featuring the Cheerful Tags stamp set (pg 5 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog) and the Note Tag Punch from pg 13 of the Holiday catalog (all available for easy online ordering in my online store… click on any of the product photos at the bottom of this post)

I combined the Cheerful Tag set with the Christmas Bliss set for these fun tags. I also came up with an idea to create a custom shaped oval tag… stamp the Merry & Bright image in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut around part of it with your Paper Snips, then slip it into the oval punch as shown and punch… fun!!

This is such a quick and easy way to make tags!! Just stamp the striped background on Whisper White cardstock, then stamp the trees over the stripes and punch out with the Note Tag Punch! The Trees are stamped in Mossy Meadow (green) but they are looking kind of black in this photo.. rest assured, they are green.

You can also add tags to cards.. I had 2 left over packets of card supplies from our Stamp a Rama event in Oct., so I just added tags to the embossed card fronts!

I embellished this Scalloped Tag Topper Punch with some die cut stars! Trim the Tree Paper was used on the tag and Under the Tree paper was used for the Stars.
