Woodworking, Valentine's Cards and a Hot Date!
I just had to share the "manly Valentine's" I made for my two Sweethearts…
They are both woodworking enthusiasts so I decided this stamp set "wood" be perfect for their Valentine's Cards! See the Wood You Be Mine stamp set here!
If you want to hear about our "hot date" for Valentine's Day… I'll fill you in on that at the end of this post 🙂
In addition to the new Wood You Be Mine stamp set, I used several pieces of paper from the Adventure Bound Paper Stack… it is a GREAT paper stack, especially for anyone who likes the outdoors or for guy cards! Find it on pg 40 of the Occasions catalog or HERE in my online store.
I cut around some of the logs above, and pieced it over another piece of paper from the same Adventure Bound paper stack… I like these 2 pieces together!
I tore pieces of the Adventure Bound paper stack for the inside of the cards.. I really like how both of the insides turned out!!
(UPDATE… they liked their cards!! :) Yay!)
The photo below was taken a couple years ago when they were making organizational products for crafters.. my woodworkers..
Ok, so back to the Hot Date…
I have been wanting one of these turning organizer trays for a LONG time.. I kept seeing them on Pinterest, and last week when I found out that they are available right here locally at Harbor Freight, I was .. shall we say EXCITED!!!!!!
For Valentine's Day we decided that we were taking our first day off since Christmas to go run errands and stop at Harbor Freight to get this tray!!
So yes, that was our HOT DATE for Valentine's day… a trip to Harbor Freight, a few other errands and lunch at Cocina Medina!
It was a very fun day off, and Eric and Jason LOVE Harbor Freight because it's nothing but tools and hardware!! As I type this, they are both putting it together for me and I'll share pix of what I organize in it in a future blog post.
Hope you all had a great Valentine's day with those you love!

Patty, your story of Valentine’s Day cracks me up. When everyday is Valentine’s Day you don’t really have to do anything more special than a trip to Harbor Freight, right? I feel the same about my Raskog cart as you do about that tray. So excited to see how you use it with your SU supplies. Keep up the amazing, photo-filled, fun posts–love ’em all!
Hi Patty, What a cool idea about cutting around the logs and adding to another piece of paper. I would have never thought of it. You get really good ideas. Thanks so much for sharing and yes I would love to find one of those revolving trays. It would be perfect. We don’t have a Harbor Freight near us. Might have to google it,lol
I love Eric and Jason’s Valentine’s Day cards! You did an awesome job as always! Steve has one of those revolving trays so I can’t wait to see how you use yours! I might have to take possession of the one he has in his tool shed!
