Blog Hop

April is Autism Awareness Month and I have joined with 20 Stampin' Up! demonstrators to help raise awareness and collect donations through this Blog Hop!  You have probably reached me after visiting Susan's wonderful blog, and I hope you will take the entire tour by clicking on the "next blog" link at the bottom of my post to visit everyone's blog to see all of the great projects we have in store for you!

We also hope that you will consider making a donation to the Autism Society. I am helping my friend Lee Conrey raise money and you can

donate through her site HERE.  Thank you!

I decided to use the Autism Awareness color BLUE as a theme for my card today.  I used the Regarding Dahlias stamp set (#130324 / 130327) from Stampin' Up! and the Circle Thinlit Card die (#133480) and Pacific Point ink and paper!

It's a Flip Card!!

I die cut the Circle Thinlit Card die in Pacific Point cardstock for the base of my card.  Did you know that when you cut out the Dahlia it will nestle right in to the circle opening!?  How cool is that!!!?

On the right side of the card, I stamped the Dahlia in Pacific Point onto a scrap of Shimmery White Paper (#101910), cut it out and added it to the Pacific Point base.  On the left side I added a piece of printed paper from the Painted Blooms paper pack (#137784).

I stamped 3 images in Pacific Point ink on Shimmery White Cardstock, then I cut 3 different layers out, colored each one with a blender pen to enhance the shadows and shading, and then layered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.

  2. Thanks for doing this hop in recognition of Autism. Sadly, a smaller portion of autism cases are genetic. The US only bans 11 toxic chemicals in body care, cleaning products and make-up. Britain bans 1,370 toxic chemicals in these products. Britain’s autism incidence plateaued in 2004. In that time period, the autism rate has gone up 78% in the US. We are creating our own neurotoxic epidemic, by the products we use.

  3. your card is beautiful & how thoughtful of you to donate to a worthy cause. There are so many causes out there, & if we do a little bit to help, alot will be accomplished.
