Gold Foil Butterflies… Have you tried this yet?
Die cut the Stampin' Up! Butterflies Thinlits with Stampin' UP! Gold Foil Sheets!! WOW!!!!!!!!!
For tips on die cutting these butterflies, watch my video here!
I created this project after seeing one of my friends use a gold foil butterflies die cut and I just had to try it!!! My card is a "top fold card" (4-1/4" x 11" folded in 1/2) on Calypso Coral cardstock, stamped in the background with the fern from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
My butterfly is topped with 2 punched butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches with Vellum cardstock and Something Borrowed DSP. A strip of pearls is the perfect finishing touch!!
What do you think … Love the Gold Foil butterfly? Maybe try it with the Silver foil?

So Beautiful. I love my butterfly thinlit. I seems to be the finishing touch for so many cards.
All I want for Christmas! These butterflies make beautiful cards especially in gold or silver!
Your Gold butterly is just beautiful. It would be lovely in silver as well, depending upon color scheme etc. Love your cards
Gorgeous card. I viewed your video and it had good information. My problem is the dryer sheet leaves a residue on my clear plate. What do I do about that? I have since just the magnetic plate and two clear plates, ran it through two times and everything does well.
Gorgeous card. I’ve made a lot of cards using the butterfly thinlets with the dryer sheets and it works awesome. I actually bought plates just for useing the dryer sheets since they aren’t expensive.I was amazed on how well it works. Thanks Patty
That is so gorgeous, Patty. Love the butterfly thinlets.
Thanks Patty for the great tip on using thinlets! Now I will not put off using them!! I see comments on the dryer sheets leaving a residue though, but hopefully that will not be a problem.
