NEW! Featured Stamp Sets in my Thankful Cards:
Happy Scenes set (#139821) and Six Sayings Hostess set (#139849 or 139852)
I was thinking about friends and family and how thankful I am for the wonderful people in my life and all the blessings they give me, and when I saw this gorgeous THANKFUL stamp in the brand new Stampin' UP! Hostess set, I knew I wanted to use it on some cards for special people in my life!
You will find this beautiful THANKFUL stamp in the Six Sayings Hostess set on pg 51 in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. You can spend hostess dollars on this set when your personal online order, or your combined orders with friends or your workshop order is over $150.
The Happy Scenes set is on pg 11 in the Holiday catalog.
I used a Whisper White Note Card for the card above, and I needed a slot in the spine of the card for my Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Cotton Ribbon.. I found the solution by using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. There are 3 different punches in this punch.. 2 of them punch fancy corners and one of them punches a slot. Download my free tutorial below for directions on punching a slot in the spine of your card with this great new punch (find it on pg 18 of the Holiday catalog. #139683).

I used a small piece of Watercolor Paper for the stamped image in the card above. I stamped it with the brand new amazing Archival Basic Black ink pad and colored it in with the Stampin' Write Markers pictured below and colored the grass with an Aqua Painter and the Pear Pizzazz ink pad. I was super impressed with the quality of the stamped image with the Archival ink on and the Watercolor paper.. I was afraid it might be too "bumpy" to stamp well but it turned out great!
I love drawing a border around some of my stamped images… I feel like it just gives the perfect crisp, clean, finishing touch to the card. I used my fine tip Project Life Journaling pen and a drafting triangle (you can find them with a beveled edge at Staples).
I created a 2nd version of this note card, this one is stamped on the Crumb Cake Note Card. Just a different layout of the same images. Each card has a small piece of designer paper from the new "Into the Woods" paper package. I also added a pop of color with the fun striped button and scrap of Pumpkin Pie ribbon to this card below. You'll find the button in the "Home for Christmas" button package, on pg 9 in the Holiday catalog. Order any of these supplies by clicking on the photos below at the bottom of this post.
That cute little squiggly stamped line stamp is from the Tin of Cards stamp set… if you are more artistic than I am, you could probably draw it… but I stamped it!
