I was GRATEFUL to need a huge stack of customer thank you cards recently, so I created pretty fall cards these to mail to my customers who placed orders with me at the beginning of September. (remember, if you select the option to have "no contact" from your demonstrator, I don't know who you are.. your info remains anonymous to me.. see THIS POST for info to change that option if you'd like to receive thank you cards, special offers and catalogs from me).
I couldn't decide if I liked it on the Vanilla card base or on Pumpkin Pie.. so I created both!
Which option do you like better?
I really love the subtle coloring of the branches. To achieve that, place your Vanilla cardstock cut to 4" x 5-1/4" into the Woodlands embossing folder, and run it through your Big Shot. Then add ink. I used a very lightly inked brayer and VERY lightly rolled over the raised branches with Crumb Cake ink. You can also use a sponge dauber or sponge to achieve this effect.
These cards use just a few Stampin' Up! Supplies…
- Woodland embossing folder / Among the Branches set Bundle #140872
- Seasonal Frame Thinlit Dies (grateful) #139658
- Corrugated paper #138317 punched with the Banner Triple punch #138292
- cardstock and ink (see supplies at the bottom of this post)

Need a Stampin' Up! catalog?
I received the first one and I LOVE it….. I like it on the Pumpkin Pie card base better because it adds a little more color and it really looks more like fall. I like them both Patty, but the pumpkin pie is my favorite. You asked, lol,,,,, They really are both very pretty. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day
love both cards! if I had to choose, I like the Pumpkin Pie card base as I like the added color.
that embossing folder is so cool and could be used for so many different projects!
I like them both Patty. This embossing folder is fast becoming one of my favorites!
I really liked the pumpkin pie, but then I scrolled down to the very vanilla and thought “WOW”!
I can’t choose so both win…. lol.
Do you have a video on how this type of card is made, ie: the brayer?
Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity
I too think both are very pretty, but I tend to be attracted toward more contrast than subtle. What about trying a color somewhere between the bright or dark orange colors and the tone-on-tone? Crumb Cake maybe? Or maybe So Saffron or even Old Olive? Just a thought. But like I said, both versions are very pretty. TFS!
