Fancy Folds Blog Hop – Easel Card

Fancy folds blog hop banner

What an honor to be asked to participate on a global design team in a blog hop featuring Fancy Folds cards!  My friend Patrice Halliday-Larsen from New Zealand asked me to be a part of this fun new team!  Our cards today feature the Easel style card.

I am participating in a blog hop with 7 other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world.. I hope you enjoy the tour and visit each blog for more Easel Card design ideas!

My card starts out as a 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" card.  You can find full Easel Card instructions in the video below in this blog post!

BELOW: The great part about this card is that you can stand it up to display and enjoy the artwork on the card front, but also easily fold it flat to mail it!

Isn't that great that it just folds flat for mailing!?

Watch my video below for cutting and folding instructions for the Easel Card.

My 2 secret weapons for coloring this card are the Stampin' UP! AquaPainter and the Clear Wink of Stella pen.  The AquaPainter helps flow the ink color on the pretty floral stamp from the Best Thoughts hostess set from Stampin' Up!, and the Wink of Stella pen gives a pretty shimmery shine to the finished artwork!  I have a video tutorial for this type of watercoloring HERE.

I love the bold contrast of the Mossy Meadow "grid paper" pattern and the black and white script pattern, with the beautiful flower! Both paper strips were from the Going Places paper stack, found on pg 39 of the 2016 Occasions Catalog.

Remember, the hostess sets can only be purchased with hostess dollars. You can earn those with any order of $150 or more.

The squiggle border stamp is from the Tin of Card stamp set and the Thank You is found in the Rose Wonder stamp set.  If you are in the US, all items may be purchased in my online store.. all Stampin' Up! product shopping links are at the bottom of this post.
